Production Equipment


Knowing how to use your equipment correctly has a huge impact on your ability to create a high quality video product. By the end of this unit you should be able to:
  • properly set up and use a tripod
  • explain what "white balance" means and be able to adjust your camera's white balance each time you use it
  • properly use a camera to shoot a video using automatic controls
  • safely and securely load and eject your camera's battery and tape
  • identify the necessary basic controls on your camera
  • execute some basic camera movements including: pan, tilt, zoom
